Rhodes Toy Museum
The Rhodes Toy Museum is one of the best attractions for children on the island. It is outside the village of Archipoli, in a splendid natural setting, surrounded by olive groves and pine forests. The permanent collection of the museum features toys and board games, all made in Greece, from the 1930s until the 1990s.
Visitors can admire battery operated cars in cheerful colours, wooden puzzles, train sets, dolls, and Greek Playmobile sets. In the basement of the building, there’s the arcade game room of the Rhodes Toy Museum, featuring vintage machines in working condition and available to visitors to play after they see the main collections.
The museum has a gift shop selling all kinds of toys and souvenirs, an outside playground, and a terrace to rest and take in the views.
Entrance to the museum costs €3 but it is free for children under 13 years old.
Rhodes Toy Museum is open from April until November, daily from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
